Getting started5 questions
What is Quebi?
Quebi is a web app for badminton groups. It helps organizers manage community access and player rosters, plan sessions, run match queues, record results, and track session fees. The fee tracker records amounts and payment status; it does not collect regular session fees.
Who is Quebi for?
Quebi is for badminton organizers who schedule sessions and manage a roster, plus the players and helpers in those groups. Owners and managers handle setup; assistants can help with availability and matches. Other members can see the parts of the community their role allows.
How do I sign in?
Choose Sign in and continue with Google. After signing in, open Communities to create a group or Browse communities to find one.
If you already belong to a group but cannot see it, check that you used the Google account the owner or manager added.
How do I create a community?
Sign in with Google, open Communities, and choose Create community. Add a name, review the community link, and choose Public or Private. A description and images are optional.
After it’s created, open Sessions to plan a meetup. Use Players to maintain the roster and Members to add people who need Quebi access.
How do I join a community?
Open Communities, then choose Browse communities. Join a public community from its listing. For a private community, send a request and wait for an owner or manager to approve it.
If you already have a Quebi account, an owner or manager can add it from Members.
Communities and roles6 questions
What is the difference between a member and a player?
A member is a Quebi account with a role and access to the community. A player is a roster record used for attendance, availability, matches, and fee calculations.
A player can be on the roster without an account. Link the two records when someone needs to see their own session activity.
What can each community role do?
Owners control community settings, assign roles, and can delete the community. Managers handle members, players, sessions, match queues, and payment records.
Assistants can update availability, run Auto Queue, and start or finish matches. Viewers can see the queue but cannot manage it. Ask an owner to change your role or assign another organizer.
How do I add a member?
Open the community’s Members tab and choose Add Member. Enter the email on the person’s Quebi account, choose a role, and add them. If the account is not listed, ask them to sign up first.
Player records are managed separately. Link the member to the right player record if they need to see their own session activity.
Can a player exist without a Quebi account?
Yes. Add a player record from the community’s Players tab to include someone in the roster and session tools. They do not need an account for organizers to manage their availability, matches, or payment record. To give them their own Quebi access, add their account as a member and link it to that player record.
Why can’t I see a community?
Check that you are signed in with the Google account the group added. If you have not joined yet, browse public communities or request access to a private one.
If you already joined, ask an owner or manager to confirm your membership and the account email they added. A private-community request stays pending until it is approved.
Why can’t a member see their own session activity?
The member account may not be linked to a player record, or it may point to the wrong one. Ask an owner or manager to open Members, check the account email, and assign the right player from that member’s row.
Community access belongs to the member account; session activity belongs to the player record.
Sessions and matches8 questions
How do I create a session?
Open the community’s Sessions tab and choose Create Session. Enter a name and date, then set the court count. The date defaults to today; a blank court count uses three, and the form accepts 1–10 courts.
After creation, add the attendees on that session’s Sign Up tab.
Who can create or edit a community session?
Owners and managers can create sessions and change session details. Assistants can check players in and operate matches, but do not have the full session-management controls. If a setting is missing, ask an owner or manager to make the change.
Can I change a session’s date or court count later?
Yes. Open the session’s Settings and edit its details; an owner or manager needs to make the change. Set the number of courts available for that session, then save. The session date and court count do not change the community’s other sessions.
How do I sign players up and check them in?
Add attendees on the session’s Sign Up tab. The list is specific to that session, so someone can stay on the community roster without attending every time.
On Check In, owners, managers, and assistants can mark who is at court or out. Auto Queue uses players marked available.
How does Auto Queue choose matches?
On a session’s Live page, choose Auto Queue and set how many matches to request. Quebi considers who is available, queue priority, skill levels, recent pairings, and games played, then applies the community’s match settings. It only creates valid doubles matches, so it can return fewer than requested when there are not enough eligible players or combinations.
Why did Auto Queue create fewer matches than I requested?
A doubles match needs four eligible players, and community match rules can rule out some combinations. Check In shows who is at court; review the queue settings for limits on skill gaps, repeat partners, or time between games.
If there still are not enough valid combinations, request fewer matches or ask an owner or manager to review the session settings.
Can I change the queue manually?
Yes. Owners and managers can create, edit, delete, and reorder queued matches. Assistants can run Auto Queue and start or finish matches, but cannot use all manual queue controls.
Ask an owner or manager to make a specific pairing or order if those controls are unavailable to you.
How do I track courts and match results?
On the session’s Live page, assign a queued match to a court and move it to Playing. When it ends, mark it complete and record the score or winner if your group tracks results.
Completed games are added to match history and can affect per-game fee calculations.
Payments and help5 questions
How are session payment amounts calculated?
In the session’s Payment Settings, choose a fixed fee or per-game pricing. Per-game pricing is the base fee plus the per-game rate multiplied by that player’s games played. If someone is marked No Show, Quebi uses the configured no-show fee.
The selected currency appears on payment records.
Does Quebi collect session payments online?
No. Quebi calculates session amounts and keeps a record of who is pending, paid, marked No Show, or waived. An organizer records the payment status after collecting money outside Quebi. Community Boost uses a separate checkout.
What is a Community Boost?
Community Boost is an optional purchase for a community, separate from player session fees. It uses its own PayMongo checkout. The available options and price appear in the community’s Boost controls, and its status is tracked separately from session payments.
Can I use Quebi on my phone?
Yes. Open Quebi in your phone’s browser and sign in as usual. During a session, use Live to follow matches and Check In to see who is at court; controls for changing player status depend on your community role.
Where can I get more help?
Ask a community owner or manager about membership, roles, player records, or session settings. For a Quebi account or site issue, email support@quebi.com or use the Contact page.
